In Las Vegas, at 2110 Fremont Avenue, a 15 foot statue of an angel with blonde hair and a blue dress stood on a pedestal, marking the location of the Blue Angel Motel. The motel was the site of an alleged sex trafficking ring that operated under the auspices of prominent Latter Day Saints, including Myron Leavitt, a former lieutenant governor and Nevada Supreme Court justice. Leavitt had served as a city councilman and county commissioner, but he allegedly participated in the ring that operated out of the Blue Angel, where pedophiles would select sex acts to perform on children from menus.
Recently, a source alleged that Dr. Albert Noorda provided medical services to child victims of the Blue Angel ring. The source specifically alleged that Noorda examined victims for injuries sustained during their abuse, and Noorda was in and out of various room at the Blue Angel Motel while the abuse was occurring. Noorda was the preferred doctor within his stake, and many parents sent their children to his offices across the street from John C Fremont Middle School. Students could walk across S 11th St to Noorda’s office at 2100 S Maryland Parkway, where they could receive their checkups.

The significance of Albert Noorda’s connection to an alleged child sex trafficking ring operating out of the Blue Angel Motel becomes deeper when juxtaposed against the fact that former Novell CEO Ray Noorda is related to Albert Noorda.
Ray Noorda’s parents were Bertus and Alida Margaretha Vandenberg, and Bertus’s father was Hendrik Noorda. Bertus’s brother was Gerrit Noorda, the father of Hilbertus Noorda, who was Albert Noorda’s father.
Ray Noorda and his wife Tye were clients of David Lee Hamblin, with Tye Noorda frequenting the healing circles conducted by Hamblin and James Warren Flaming Eagle Mooney. Hamblin and Mooney’s work with Tye led to Ray Noorda donating a reported $500,000 to Mooney, which Mooney used to purchase the home in Benjamin, Utah that he repurposed into the base for Oklevueha Native American Church. When David Lee Hamblin was arrested for poaching deer, he was driving car registered to Ray Noorda.
The fact that Myron Leavitt is related to Hamblin’s alleged accomplice within the Church of Satan David Leavitt is either a tremendous coincidence or corroboration of a deeper underlying pattern within the Leavitt family, in which children are sexually exploited and abused. The familial connection between Ray and Albert Noorda, and their connections to Myron Leavitt and David Lee Hamblin, provide yet more circumstantial evidence for a key allegation made by the Hamblin sisters: perpetrators within their family’s group and related groups operated within familial circles.
The Blue Angel Motel was torn down in 2015, just under two miles from Albert Noorda’s old offices on Maryland Parkway. The Blue Angel was taken down in 2017, subjected to a restoration effort, and then placed on the median island at the intersection of Fremont, Eastern and Charleston Boulevard. She doesn’t speak of the things she witnessed during the years in which the motel was purportedly a hub of child sexual trafficking. Fiberglass statues make for bad witnesses, and most of the victims of the men who frequented the motel under her watchful gaze have kept their silence. Many of the named perpetrators of the group are, like Myron Leavitt and Dr. Albert Noorda, dead.

Those within the extended network of such men, like David Lee Hamblin, are approaching the end of their lives. Many of those men and women are in their seventies-or older-and they are clearly comfortable with the idea that they will die unpunished and unaccountable for their alleged crimes. They are the product of a corrupt culture within the church that shielded many perpetrators of child sexual abuse over decades, enabling those perpetrators to continue abusing countless victims. Christ is a good cover for child rapists, and the men who frequented the Blue Angel, like those who allegedly populated the Church of Satan, are fluent in the language of faith.
The Devil can transform himself into an angel of light, and his followers master the dialect of faith in any denomination that will afford them membership. The coincidences around such men and women continue to expand with each day. At the intersection of Fremont, Eastern, and Charleston Boulevard, a fiberglass angel stares down at passing cars instead of children being hustled into exterior entry motel rooms while men walk in and out of those same rooms.
